Form Inspiration

To mirror the multi-functionality of my table, I wanted to incorporate contrasting shapes that give the table visual interest. I studied Bauhaus design and the art of Wassily Kandinsky for form inspiration

I mainly researched tables that had an organic, rounded shape with multiple stacked surfaces

Final Drawing and Rendering

3 weeks - Fall 2025

A project devoted to learning the basics of furniture building. Spent 3 weeks designing and building a multi-tiered swivel table.

Skills Used - Basic joinery, Fusion 360, Sketching, Woodworking

Used Fusion 360 to create a 1:1 and 1:4 scale drawing of my table for reference. Created a perspective rendering of the table on fusion

After feedback from instructors and peers, I ended up with these 3 final concepts. All of them incorporate negative space and contrasting shapes, and I felt the one on the right was the most effective
